Collecting Socks for Children in Need
We’re collecting new socks for children in need. We’d love to receive colorful, warm and comfy, whimsical, fun and silly socks for children/teens, ages one to 17. Socks will be delivered to local agencies including Martha’s Place, Women’s Shelter SLO and Prado/Maxine Lewis Homless Shelter. Although we collect socks throughout the year, in February socks will be delivered on Febraury 26th – Sera Sock Day, in memory of Sera Day Coryell who passed away in 2011. Sera is remembered for wearing the colorful and crazy socks. We will also be purchasing socks and will be happy to receive monetary donations. These socks will truly be a reflection of both Sera and Rita and help to provide necessities for children in need. We hope, too, that the socks will brighten their days and brings smiles into their lives. Thanks for your consideration and support.
